Cement is manufactured by burning a mixture of limestone and clay at high temperatures in a kiln, and then finely grinding the resulting clinker along with gypsum. The end product thus obtained is called Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC).
Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is the most common cement used in general concrete construction when there is no exposure to sulphates in the soil or groundwater. Example like plastering, brickwork, concrete work, and more.
At cement product can separate out: Skim coat cement, tile adhesive cement, Waterproofing cement, grouting cement, colorant cement and walcrete cement.
Most common cement product in Malaysia is Skim coat, tile adhesive and waterproofing cement.
Skim coat cement is cement to be used as the undercoat on concrete surface. It contains additives that improve workability, consistency, water retentivity and bond strength
Tile adhesive cement is for wall and floor tiling work, it is suitable for internal and external used.
Waterproofing cement is for maintain or do water proof protection at wall and floor over concrete, brickwork and renderd surfaces.The example of cement company at Malaysia is YTL, Lafarge and Tasek.
