It’s safe and convenient when driver can be more alert on temperature outside the car, but when there’s a pro, there’s always a con. That’s goes the same to the indicator that shows a car temperature which just turns out to be a failure. The problem is that if the indicator doesn’t show any meter or numbers, with just 2 symbolic alphabet which are “H” &”C” on the screen, driver would not be able to notice how the temperature changes.
In another words, changes in temperature is unpredictable. Any action of precaution seems impossible. The appearance of the “H” in the indicator is in fact a “warning” that is “too late”. (It’s true that even if the temperature is shown in digital number, people wouldn’t think much or care less on bothering at it because diagram from a meter is easier to comprehend than numerical impression.)
